After the breakdown of my relationship with my partner of seven years I decided to move away from the home town that I grew up in. I moved just over a year ago from a well known county in the city of spires to a beautiful seaside town 120 miles away, leaving all my friends. I suppose it can be classed as ‘running’ away but with all my friends settled down in ‘couple-dom’ and having kids, it seemed easier to be single in another town and meet new people. And more of an opportunity to meet the man of my dreams!
I have enjoyed living in my new home town. Although looking back now, it was difficult at the time to adjust. I moved without having a job to go to but was lucky enough to have accomodation already sorted for me. I spent 4 months ‘looking’ for a job, joyfully wandering around the shops – sometimes buying and sometimes window shopping and also experiencing all the culinary delights of the exquisite cafes and restaurants.
By January 2008 I finally got a part time job which stopped my family from stating their concerns in a nagging kind of way.
So fast forward to the present day and here I am, happy, still single and enjoying the dating scene – of which more details to come.
